TRING AIR CADETS RECEIVE THANKS FROM ROYAL BRITISH LEGION
Cadets from 2457 (Tring) squadron ATC worked closely with members from the local branch of the Royal British Legion in November, helping with the Annual Poppy Appeal.
The presence of the cadets was a significant factor in the success of the appeal & Chairman of Tring Branch RBL, Len Smith, said,
“There were so many compliments on their smart appearance, polished shoes, & politeness, & they were especially good with the children. It was noteable that people went to them for their Poppy”.
The Squadron then turned out en-mass for the Remembrance Parade & service at the church of St Peter & St Paul, which was particularly well attended this Year. Cadet Corporal Michael Littleton carried the RBL standard for the male section & Cadet Corporal Matt Howlings carried the squadron Banner whilst cadet Corporal Rory Goldie laid the wreath on the memorial on behalf of the ATC.
Len Smith said, “The RBL Standard Bearer was very good, & I appreciate how well he presented the Standard for us.
People sometimes ignore the good our young people do, but we are proud to say Thank You.”
